About Me
Hello & Welcome to my Site!To-date, I am a professional business woman who has been lucky enough to have a job that has, over they years, given me lots of opportunities to travel. I am also married and being a mother of 5 children, have over the years had bills to pay and mouths to feed. Consequently, it has always been a struggle for me to find the time to progress my real passion - to produce art.
So, although over the years some of my drawings (when I have managed to find the time to do them) have been successfully sold, I only took up painting for the first time in 2006, and have found that I absolutely love it.
Since I started painting in 2006, I have already managed to produce quite a few pieces, albeit I am struggling to keep hold of them as family and friends claim them for themselves almost still wet off my easel.
Although I am still currently in full-time work, now our 5 children have all flown the nest, I am at last finding some extra time (mainly weekends) for me to be able to progress my passion to develop whatever skills I might have in painting.
You never know, maybe one day I will be able to finally go part-time in my current career and then, if I manage to paint a sufficient number of good pieces and there is a real interest in what I am producing, I might be able to meet my long term dream of owning my own gallery. A place I could use to not only exhibit and sell my own paintings, but also those of other self-taught artists like myself who are struggling to get recognised.
